Often open-minded and hard to fluster, Rhena is very accepting of others and their ideas, no matter how out there they might be. However, though she may be tolerant of rambunctious behavior, or even rudeness, she will not sit down and watch if someone is being bullied or harassed, and, despite her short height, will take on and rebuke the offender, whether it was a young child or a seven foot tall body builder. She also loves to dote on others, especially people younger than her, and will try to help them out if they're in a tough situation. _{mm dat jailbait} She also cannot help but tease clueless people, or people who are very naïve. When she makes up her mind she will not change it - this usually is applied to helpful acts on her part: she'll keep trying to feed you if she thinks you need to eat more (read: she nags), etc. With friends Rhena is often somewhat flirtatious, and will prod her friends with eyebrow-wiggling innuendos and light teasing.

Though she's often laid back and kind, once you get on her bad side, its hard to get her to calm down - she'll tell you off and try to make you feel ashamed for whatever bad thing you did (and she'll be embarrassed about how mad she was later). She won't try to fight you, but she'll try her best to _{emotionally scar you} show you that she means business. She can also be quite moody - often getting in a weepy emotional mess if she watches sad, sad movies or just because she's not feeling too swell. Although she often means well, she's often in a rush to do things - she may want to help, however she may not think it through, which could ultimately make her good intentions go sour.

Rhena's father, a half-Japanese, half-Finnish businessman, moved out of Finland to Japan for the first time to open a his own store, in dreams of following what his father, a Japanese business man, had done when he was young and lived in Japan. Instead of moving straight to Tokyo to open a general electronics store, he had fallen in love with a Japanese woman during a trip to Midorijima, stayed, got married, and had Rhena two years later. Originally, he meant to name her Rina, a traditional Japanese name (利奈), but had made a mistake and spelled it Rhena. Her mother thought that he wanted to have a daughter with a foreign name, and did not mind his choice of spelling.

Her father had slowly built up a small store for selling accessories and electronics for Rhyme players and their AllMates, and her mother worked as a florist, growing flowers in the backyard to sell at a small stand in town. Her father's store, dwarfed out by much bigger chains, was somewhat successful, just enough to be able to live in the Nakasu District. Rhena's father also used to play Rhyme, and despite being an "old man" (as coined, lovingly, by other Rhyme players who often played with him), was somewhat proficient in playing. Rhena would always watch his fights, and cheered him on the entire time as his AllMate, a pufferfish named Benoni, fought with another AllMate.

Eventually, Rhena grew to want an AllMate of her own, and to play Rhyme, but she wasn't old enough and not deemed mature enough to be in the care of an AllMate. On her thirteenth birthday, however, she was surprised by her present - Cecil, and permission, given by her parents, to play Rhyme. She played Rhyme for the first time soon after, and even with the basic background knowledge on Rhyme, taught by her father, she lost to her opponent, their neighbor's older daughter who had recently gotten her own AllMate.

Cecil grew to be very fond of her, and felt responsible for her well being - as a result, they were never apart, and he always was by her side. Rhena played Rhyme often, and it was during her highschool years she played the most and made the most friends. As soon as it became time to enroll in University, she began to play less, and focus more on her education and job focus - Acupuncture. After graduating, she became employed at a small, clinic, and lives by herself in an apartment in Kyuujuuminku. Since she only has four to six two hour appointments every week, she has a lot of free time to do her two favorite things - be with Cecil and play Rhyme.

  ❤ Cecil ❤ - Cecil is her childhood friend; they've known each other for nearly a decade, and have been through the good times, and the bad times, throughout Rhena's life. He often serves as a source of good advice, and is firm in his decisions, often trying to persuade her to not be friends with people that give him a bad feeling. In their free time they have snuggle fests with lots of blankets and watch scary movies and rom-coms.

Hideki Saito - The team leader. Although she finds him quite forward, she feels that he's overall a cool guy with interesting things to say. He has qualities that she thinks makes a good leader, and trusts in his judgement.

Yaozu - An unexpected client at the acupuncturist clinic she works at. Although he scared a few of the other employees, she found him quite refreshing, and wonders about his taste in TV shows. She hopes he'll stop by the clinic again so they can try out even more relaxation techniques.

Kazuo Takarai - A young man she literally ran into after encountering a ghost child crab walking towards her at the haunted house. Likes to show off her party tricks to him, no matter how weird they are.

Genta Miyamoto - Her first impression of him came from his drunk tweeting online. After meeting him in real life, she realized she misjudged him, and thinks he's a very kind, smart guy.

Cecil was given to Rhena on her thirteenth birthday as a gift from her parents, almost a decade ago. Cecil was given to her was to act as a a protector of sorts - he was wary when she was not, protective and questionable towards people who wanted to befriend her, and often was her guardian when she went outside to play. However, the traits she used used to have as an adolescent - naïve, easily persuaded, and friendly to a fault have been grown out of, and Cecil is no longer as precautionary as he was. He still retains his protective personality, and will sharply question the actions of others if it pertains to Rhena. When alone, he eases up and likes to have talk with her, read, have walks, and curl up in her lap. Despite his defensiveness he is quite chivalrous, and will be polite to women and children. Cecil also has a bad habit of being overly curious, and likes to inspect and talk to people and AllMates he has not met before.

B O M B A Y - Known for their sleek, solid black coats and piercing golden eyes, Bombays are a muscularly built cat that is highly social, smart, and agile; they often retrieve and will seek out interaction with humans. Head bumpers and nose rubbers, they love nothing more than to be held, and some can be very talkative and they have a distinctive voice. Often, they get attached to their family, and will often seek attention from their owners, and do not like to be ignored for long periods of time. Though they do like to be around people and other animals, they tend to have a certain person whom they pay special attention to in their lives.

It was dark outside; Rhena's week had been empty, perhaps it was because of the winter chill? There seemed to be less and less appointments being made at the clinic as Winter went on... she didn't mind much, though. More time to play Rhyme, and more time to cuddle up with Cecil. Currently, her AllMate was curled up on her stomach, buried underneath layer upon layer of thick comforters - his head peeked out just enough to see what was going on in the movie. "Cecil," she murmured, shifting a little bit to grab some of the snacks on the coffee table. "Move a little, or you'll fall off."

Cecil closed his eyes. "I won't. I'm a cat. Cats don't fall."

Rhena blinked. "Yes, they do." And pushed him off.
